Air travel can be an incredibly stressful experience. But for some reason, when we are in the air, we sometimes overlook this common courtesy. It sets a pleasant tone for the flight … and may even snag you a extra bag of cookies. Because the drink fizzes up more than other drinks, which causes major stress for a rushed airline attendant. In the time it takes me to pour a single cup of Diet Coke, I can serve three passengers a different beverage. So why do so many of us not think twice about cramming our garbage into the seat pocket on a plane? Want to wet your whistle? Know your order and deliver it promptly… AND take off your headphones when you do so. Again, most of us would not grab a restaurant server or forcefully tug on their sleeve when they passed our table.

It has been a long time since flight attendant was a glamorous job title. The hours are long. Passengers with feelings of entitlement bump up against new no-frills policies. Babies scream.
How hard is it to just be a decent human being? Trust that if they haven't shown up, they're busy and will be with you as soon as they can. They literally have to take the trolley back to the galley, get you what you want, and then go get the trolley back. You know who else hates you in this situation? Why do people sometimes think planes are exempt from the code of conduct for normal public places?
