How Long Does Homemade Cake Mix Last?

Homemade Cake Mix
This cake was sent home from our children's school. It is the simplest, great tasting cake I've ever made. Great to make with the kids, especially for cupcakes. Preheat oven to degrees F degrees C. Grease and flour a 9x9 inch pan or line a muffin pan with paper liners. In a medium bowl, cream together the sugar and butter. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine flour and baking powder, add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
Yellow Cake Mix
A convenient substitute for commercial mixes. Quick, easy, and yummy. Best of all, YOU control the ingredients! For a Yellow Cake: Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Cut in shortening until fine crumbs are formed. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla. Beat at low speed for 1 minute, then high for 2 minutes, scraping the bowl frequently. Pour batter into greased and floured 9x13 inch pan.
